Categories: News

pole3 Chief Tsungani and family have been busy restoring the totem pole at the Oregon Zoo, carved by Chief Lelooska during the Oregon Centennial in 1959. The pole, 50 feet tall and 42 inches in diameter, is tentatively scheduled for reinstallation near the zoo’s mountain goat habitat in late September. There are articles describing the pole and its restoration in the Columbian and on the Oregon Zoo’s site.
